What is a "DO"?

Doctors of Osteopathic medicine (DO) practice a “whole person” approach to healthcare. Instead of just treating specific symptoms, osteopathic physicians concentrate on treating you as a whole. DOs help their patients develop attitudes and lifestyles that don’t just fight illness but also help them prevent disease. Both DOs and MDs attend medical school and in some cases the same residency programs. In addition, our DO's are Board Certified in Family Medicine.
